Yemen encourages girls to education

Government is working on supporting gender in Yemen through encouraging girls to enroll to schools and improving indicators of girl education in the country, accenting the significance of circulating awareness of gender issues, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi said during his meeting with Deputy Regional Director of United Nations Development Program UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States Abdul Elah Murdia, held on Tuesday in Sana’a.

During the meeting, Yemen and UNDP reviewed the current cooperation between the country and the program concerning building capacities and developing the promising economic sectors like agriculture, trade, tourism and fishing.
