A Consultative Meeting of Lahj Leaders chaired by Secretary General of Local Council Ali Matir, evaluated on Tuesday the level of the implementation of projects to improve food security which are being implemented in three districts of Lahj province.
During the meeting, Matir affirmed the importance of getting a clear vision to benefit from assistance in this area, aimed to create awareness of food security issues.
For her part, director of the Food Security Project reviewed a number of activities provided by the organization in the fields of public health, environment, education and state of emergency and humanitarian assistance during poverty crises.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Italian Kubi Organization, Yemen Women Union, Office of Agriculture and Irrigation, civil society organizations and local councils.
The number of beneficiaries from the assistance of the food security program is estimated at round 450 beneficiaries in various agricultural fields.
