The Coast-guard forces are carrying out extensive operations to return a chemical tanker hijacked in the Gulf of Aden, a security source said on Monday.
The source said that the Coast-guard Authority, Aden Gulf Sector, has received from the Caution Center a letter read that a chemical tanker has been hijacked while in the international waters of Gulf of Aden.
The letter said that the tanker has been subjected to piracy acts by unknown armed persons, according to the Information Center at the Interior Ministry.
Aden Coast-guards said that they sent their boats to identity the kidnapers and the location of the tanker.
