The government announced that visas for tourists coming to Yemen with a travel agency will now be free, and individual tourists will pay visa fees of either YR 5000 or YR 20000 depending on the frequency of their travels to Yemen, Nabil al-Faqih Minister of Tourist said.
Cabinet's decision No. 355 related to fixing fees for tourist visas is under implementation, said al-Faqih. Al-Faqih said that implementing the decision is being done within the framework of the government's intentions of easing measures for tourists' to enter Yemen, and reducing visa fees in the hope of reviving tourist activities.
Al-Faqih highlighted concerned bodies' cooperation in dealing with the decision, asserted importance of increasing tourist activities and easing measures for granting visas.
