Parliament approved Monday a French loan agreement for funding the SCADA system- a power-grid control project signed by the Yemeni government and the French development agency worth € 26 million.
Parliament recommended using the loan only for the implementation of the project, and in order to ensure the project was up to international standards.
It also insisted on the importance of choosing a qualified consultation company to supervise the project to ensure it is completed on time, and to present periodical reports to parliament about the progress of the project.
