Yemen's National strategy for food security is underway

A workshop began on Sunday in the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation discussing the arrangements to be prepared by the National Strategy for Food Security.

The workshop was opened by the Deputy of Planning and International Cooperation Abdullah al-Shater, who explained the strategy mechanisms present to analyze the program.

The workshop's participants reviewed the best alternatives to develop food security in Yemen, suggesting a joint vision to direct the study that would be achieved by May 2010.

The study aims to reach a national strategy for food security to be agreed upon by all interested bodies and to set a scientific guide to implement plans and projects of food security.
