Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakel headed for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to discuss improving Yemeni-Saudi trade relations with officials of the Saudi Industry and Trade Ministry.

Al-Mutawakel said the visit comes within the framework of expediting Yemen’s economic merge with the economies of the Gulf Cooperation Council, specifically highlighting relations between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Al-Mutawakel said the visit will deal with follow-up issues of strengthening exchange of trade and outcomes of the Yemeni-Saudi Joint Trade Technical Team meeting that was held in Sana'a recently, particularly the obstacles facing Yemeni exporters.

He said these discussions will decide on some issues regarding trade exchange and strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
