On Sunday, a joint committee of the Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) began in Cairo, Egypt. The committee convened for three consecutive days, with the chair of the committee being held by Yemen.
In the opening session, the chairman of the Yemen Central Organization for Control and Audit (COCA), Abdullah al-Sanafi, conveyed his hope that members of the meeting would view the sessions as a valuable opportunity to reinforce relations between the Arab financial control organizations. He also forcefully expressed his confidence that the meetings would seriously deliberate on various topics inserted into the ARABOSAI agenda.
The meeting was set to review two reports submitted by the Organization Executive Council and the Secretary General of the Organization, outlining an overview of the organizations activities in the past fiscal period, in order to approve them. The committee was additionally organized to approve the final audits and budgets of the general secretariats of the Organization for the previous and coming years.
