Yemen signs grant agreement with JSDF at $2.7 million

Yemen and Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) signed on Tuesday an agreement whereby Japan will provide $2,738,000 to finance the project of reinforcing capacities of the poorest groups in Yemen.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and Regional Director of JSDF David Craig to fund the activities which will be creating economic opportunities in local communities.

Following the signing of the agreement, al-Arhabi praised the Japanese contributions to providing such an initiative designed to develop areas of cooperation between Yemen and Japan.
