Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs and the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi described his visit to Tokyo which ended on Monday as successful.
Upon his arrival in Sana’a, he said that “we agreed with the Japanese government to hold official consultations aiming to find out possibilities of rising Japanese assistance to developmental needs of Yemen.
Al-Arhabi indicated that he met with a number of Japanese officials, especially Japanese Prime Minister, where he handed him over a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh dealing with the necessity of boosting mutual cooperation relations and increasing Japanese developmental efforts in Yemen.
He also added that he discussed with officials of Ministry of Economy and Industry of Japan, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and other officials a number of issues related to attracting Japanese investment to Yemen.
