The German charge d’affaires and Dr. Mohammed Abo Bakr al-Maflahi have opened a German photo exhibition containing the works of six German artists at the culture house, entitled, “All Civilization”.
The minister commented on the distinctive Yemeni-German relations, marking this exhibition which contains more than 150 photographs reflecting daily German life. The minister also praised earlier exhibitions and hoped for more to come from Yemeni-German cooperation.
The German official said that this display presents a glimpse of German life to the Yemeni community in order to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries. He mentioned that the exhibition will be open until the beginning of May when it will be moved to Jamil Ghanim’s art center in Aden until May 25.
Photographer Indrias spoke on behalf of his fellow photographers, saying that the exhibition is the product of shots taken by a number of contemporary artists who are trying to focus on important sites in German cities. They also aim to trace the prominent changes in German architecture, the essential base for the German arts. “The photos also shed light on different perspectives of people’s topographic life,” he added.
