The German plastic art exhibition at the Fine Arts Institute in Aden wrapped up on April 21. Under the title of “Superb writing,” the show was jointly organized by the German House and the Ministry of Culture.
The show started on April 1 and contained 50 paintings by German artist Susannah Hoffman and Yemeni artists Talal Najar, Nasser al-Aswadi, Ali al-Tharahni, Majed al-Hitar, and Elham al-Arashi. The paintings were made up of calligraphy, harmonizing between its letters and colors in water, oil, eklic and Jawas colors. They demonstrated the link between handwriting and the technique of converting handwriting into an effective artistic expression.
