The Yemeni artist Lamia al-Kebsi, opened her painting exhibition in the Syrian Culture Center on the 30th November and it will continue until the 20th December. The exhibition contains thirty of her paintings and seven vases. Al-Kebsi expressed her happiness with the Syrian Culture Centers support for her work and confirmed with gratitude the care and attention that plastic artists had received in the Yemen from the Ministry of Culture, she added that even the public had now become more aware of this type of art.

When al- Kebsi had been asked about the reasons behind the prominence of the color yellow in her paintings, she answered that it was because yellow is the color of light and hope and it gave her more space to express the unique time of the painting.

Al-Kebsi said that she kept looking for international painting and sculpture exhibitions on the internet, and through this she got to known the Iraqi and Iranian artists of whom she is most fond.
