Scientific and Culture week continues

Dr. Ali al-Meri explains to the audience about heredity
Last Sunday, May 17th, during the The Technical and Scientific Culture project that is being held by  the al-Afif Cultural Foundation, the scientific documentary titled, “Signs of the Last Day”.  The launch a of the computer education program for a group of Yemeni students was announced on the same day.
 

Also a lecture on inheritance was held last Tuesday May 19 presented by Dr. Ali al-Meri who discussed heredity in general and about gene qualities in specific.
 

He gave highlights on DNA structure, chromosomes, and talked about the recent developments in gene therapy and some applications in Biotechnology.   
 

The same week included a theater performance written by journalist and playwright, Fikri Qasim and directed by Sami Hadad. The performance was last Wednesday May 20 at the Culture Center.
 

The play highlighted many issues and problems facing the young inventor, particularly when his invention is ignored.
