Technical and scientific culture week started at al-Afif

The Minster of Culture Dr. Mohammed al-Maflehi spoke about the importance of the Technical and Scientific Culture project that the al-Afif Cultural Foundation launched last week for the third year in cooperation with the French ‘Research and Development’ Institute and French Cultural Center .
 

The project which launched Thursday May 14 was sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training.
 

During the opening ceremony, Al-Maflehi talked about the important effects of the project on the youth.  He also commented on   the awareness of the organizers that hosted such a scientific event.
 

He thanked the al-Afif Cultural Foundation for sponsoring this special culture project and confirmed the Ministry’s interest in such large culture institutions as a creative quality and effective partner in the general culture development
 

On the same stage,  the executive manger at the al-Afif Cultural Foundation, Mr.  Abdul Bari Tahir, said that that Yemen has many potential capabilities and creative mentalities that we only need to discover.

He pointed that the human being had reached to the depths of land, oceans and the dimensions of the space only through scientific research.
 

The scientific expert of the project, Dr. Mohammad Abdul-Bari al-Qadasi, talked about the Yemeni society’s urgent need for scientific culture and for achieved progress in all fields.
 

During the ceremony the Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Mr. Alawi Bafaqeh, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education Mr. Mohammed Mutaher and the head of the French Cultural Center Mr. Joel Dechezlepretre presented a number of words that commended all the project, and its usefulness to the Yemeni inventors.
