The exhibition came as Yemen participated with Al-Quds, the Capital of Arab Culture 2009. Yemen participated by hosting the 21 most important Yemeni plastic artists such as Dr. Amnah al-Nasiri, and Mazher Nizar whose paintings adorn the walls of the Culture House.
“This exhibition represented a true starting point for Yemeni plastic art through the wide participation of many countries which helped to share new horizons with all of artists who participated,” said the Minster of Culture Dr. Mohammed al-Maflehi.
He added that the fact that Yemen celebrated the occasion with Al-Quds, the Capital of Arab Culture 2009 proves that Yemeni artists always stand by their brothers who are Palestinian artists.
