In the presence of the Rector of Sana’a University, Dr. Khaled Tamim, the Human Rights and Polling Center announced polling results of Yemeni viewers’ opinion on what Yemeni TVs broadcast during Ramadan, last Sunday May 24 at Studies Center, Sana’a University.

The head of the Human Rights and Polling Center, Dr. Mohammed al-Faqeh started the conference by thanking Dr. Abdullah al-Zalab, Director-General of the General Corporation for Radio and Television, for being more objective by asking the polling center to evaluate the foundation’s work. He then announced the exact numbers of what the viewers prefer and what they don’t.

He said that 2,500 viewers from seven governorates were interviewed, and for three months, a team of one hundred worked hard to come out with these statistics.

The statistics prove that the evening is the most important timefram in which that Yemenis watch TV. Therefore, al-Faqeh called the Yemeni General Corporation for Television to focus on that time to broadcast their best material.

The important programs in order were local series, news bulletins, Arabic series, and the religion programs.

As for the local programs “the hiding camera” came in first place, while the general Satisfaction with the level of Yemen channel reached  55% .
