Visitors from all ages attended the moving exhibition
|
A visitor named Doa’a al-Rubaidy added that she regrets that this project wasn’t launched earlier, though she would love to see more publications issued by new publishing houses.
Another visitor, Lamia Anwar, expressed her admiration of the cheap cost of the books, and said that although she didn’t find books related to ancient history, which is her specialty, she considers the moving library to be a cheap and cool exhibition. The library contains a lot of books related to Islam and literature, such as old poem collections by Antrah ben Shadad, Al-Mutanabi, and other well-known poets.
The director of the book section of JJG, Mr. Abdullah Muhsen, said that the idea of this library started here in Sana’a and will move into universities as the next step, and later to other Yemeni towns.
The treasurer of JJG, Mr. Ammar Jahaf, said attendance of the exhibition has gone beyond their expectations and the result has been high sales numbers.
It is worth mentioning that the opening was attended by the Director of the General Book Authority, Dr. Fares al-Saqqaf .
