On the occasion of Yemen Arbor Day on the 19th and 20th of July, 2009, the Ministry of Tourism and SYFF foundation has announced a photography competition with the theme of Nature in Yemen.
The Contest is open for everyone, for both genders and nationalities inside and outside of Yemen, as long as the theme includes in any photograoh expresses nature found in Yemen, like the beauty of a plant, flower….etc.
The conditions of entering the competition are: the photo should be taken by the participant himself/ herself, and they must include their contact information including his/her name and phone number.
The participating photo should be sent as an attachment with two other photos from two other angles of the same scene. The Photo must be sent in digital form (JPEG) with a 300 degree resolution for each photo
Editing the photograph using computer program is allowed within the main theme, but any photograph with the photographer’s name, written text, or date will not be accepted.
Sending the photos will give the organizing committee the right to publish it and all rights of the winner’s printed photos will be reserved by the Ministry of Tourism and the Yemen Tourism Promotion Board.
The names of the top three winners will be declared at an event which will coincide with Sana’a’s Summer Tourism Festival at Al-Sabaeen Park on July 19th-20th, 2009. The winners will be rewarded by the Ministry of Tourism.
The deadline for receiving photos is the 10th of July, 2009. Any work that arrives after this date will not be accepted.
