MSI held enlightenment workshop for Yemeni youth

The program of Reproductive Health and Family Planning Centers (Mari Stopes International- Yemen) launched a workshop for youth last week in the presence of the deputy minister of Health Ministry Dr. Jamela al-Ra’abi.

The workshop which held a place at Mercure Hotel, Sana’a aimed to enlightenment the Yemeni youth about the important of saving their health of bad habits could exposure their health to danger, not just like that but also to highlight on the awareness on the reproductive health.

The youth participates were from different organizations as the Ministry of Sport and GTZ organization, UNFPA and many Local NOGs.

Al-Ra’abi talked during the workshop about the reproductive health and it is role on the family. She confirmed on the important of raise the awareness of the youth about this important subject.

The workshop also included awards from the representative of MSIY Ms. Fran Roots and the development manager Dr. Mulham Saied.

The youth coordinator for the workshop Mr. Fahd al-Mokadam explained what youth component (Collaborative planning for youth Activities) is and the general vision of this work. 

Then the attendance divided to five groups to discuss about what the needs and hopes of youth and how they can develop them to be ready for the future.
