A medical camp to fight blindness established

To fight eyesight blindness and give more catering to eyesight, a medical camp for charity was established last week for that cause at al-Thawra hospital in al-Baytha governorate, sponsored by the governor Mohammed Nasser al-Ameri. The imitative was done by al-Nibras medical association funded by MTN Company for charity and in cooperation with the governorate’s Public Health and Population’s office.

A specialized medical and consultant team participated in conducting the camp. The team is specialized in eye surgery and part of the association’s plan to fight blindness and catering to eye sight.
 
Ahmed Zaid, the association’s manger stated that the medical camp represents a result of the charitable effort between the association, the governmental institutions and the charitable institutions, working in Yemen to serve the public through the humanitarian and charitable programs that aim to have an access to ill people and people in need in their areas where they live.
 
He also added that the camp that lasted for one week targeted 2,000 cases, has operated 150 surgical operations and donated medical treatments for patients.
 
This camp is the 122 camps done by the donors and it included seminars focusing on how to treat and prevent eye sight problems, and the diseases leading to blindness. The association plans to do a medical campaign for heart disease or cardiopathy during this month and the campaign will aim on operating 30 heart surgeries for free.
