Doctors Syndicate honored Yemeni Arab Board graduates

The Doctors Syndicate in Sana’a honored the Yemeni Arab Board graduates, last Saturday in a celebration ceremony with the presence of Dr. Ahmed al-Asbahi, chairman of Arab Doctors Union’s.

The ceremony took place at one of the halls of University of Technology and Science in Sana’a.

In his speech, al-Asbahi criticized the governmental institutions’ absence; institutions such as the ministry of Health and ministry of High Education and he criticized how they could be away from such honoring event for the Arab board graduates from the wide range of medical specializations for years 2008, 2009 and 2010.  

“I praise the graduates’ efforts throughout their educational and scientific seek and I encourage them to pursuit further in this path.

This surpass, happening with self-effort and without any governmental attention indicates the willpower and determination of those graduates and that kind of success is exactly what made neighboring countries establish their medical institution for those graduates,” said Dr. al-Asbahi.

Dr. Mohammed al-Sarmi, Yemeni Doctors Association’s chairperson encouraged the graduates to work hard on implementing the field of medicine’s morals and skills on reality very well.

“Dedicate your scientific fruit in serving the public and our home country in order to uplift and develop our medical institutions,” he added.

The event was funded by the Syrian Company for Medical Requirements ALFA.

The syndicate aims to hold this event annually for the Yemeni Arab board and make it bigger in the future.

In addition, the syndicate is working on establishing in the coming weeks a committee for Yemeni medical students studying abroad and setting a law for local medical expeditions that will save the Arab board students their rights and duties. 

Al-Sermi emphasized on the syndicate’s willingness to enhance the medical services in the country and he made a call upon the government to improve lives of people working in the field of medicine in Yemen who shifted away from conducting medicine’s decent morals to being ordinary fulfillers of life’ needs.
