Panel at al-Saeed Cultural Center meet to celebrate eleventh anniversary.
Al-Saeed cultural establishment marked this year’s eleventh anniversary by announcing a prize in science and culture at the al-Saeed forum in Taiz.
The Culture Minister, Dr. Mohammed Abu Bakr al-Maflahi, addressed the event saying that the social and economic development can not be achieved without the prioritization of culture to be on top of the comprehensive development plans.
Dr. al-Maflahi called the al-Saeed establishment to embark into new areas by holding a joint workshop over “the cultural investment and the cultural industry,” in partnership with the Culture Ministry and the commercial and private establishments, assuring his confidence that the private sector’s contribution to the cultural development can be as effective as their role at the economic level.
Al-Maflahi added that the cultural investment is considered as an endless involvement in investing in the fields of knowledge.
Dr. Ahmed Hail Saeed, Hail Saeed prize board member, said in his speech that the event incorporates Hail Saeed’s establishment awareness of the culture and scientific research’s role in the country’s development.
Ali Mohammed Saeed, the Hail Saeed group chairman, also ensured the establishment’s endeavor to spread education and culture at this historical trend, pointing out to the importance of activation of the awareness through the responsible rhetorical culture that pushes ahead the country’s development.
The chairman disclosed that a linguistic training center will soon be opened, in addition to a script section, which will be a display to the modern, medium and old Yemeni history.
Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Karim al-Kubaisi was honored for winning the Islamic sciences prize, over his research entitled the Koran’s role in community reform. Dr. al-Kubaisi declared that the prize announces to the Arab world the Yemeni cultural activities, at the social, Islamic, literal, social and scientific fields.
There was also a declaration of the contest for the late Hail Saeed thirteenth prize’s contest for 2009.
