The Post and Postal Savings Corporation has released its new philatelic issues for 2008, containing two new stamp collections.

The first stamp collection seeks to commemorate the martyr President Yasser Arafat, to thank him for his historical leadership of Palestinian people. It also seeks to commemorate his role as the founder of Fateh and as the elected President of Palestine. These philatelic issues contain one stamp valued at 120 YR, and a 300 YR post card.

The second stamp collection was released to commemorate the inauguration of the Al-Saleh's Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Arab and Islamic world, and by far the largest mosque in Yemen. The mosque was designed according to Yemeni architecture heritage, and can accommodate tens of thousands of worshippers. These philatelic issues contain three stamps valued at 80, 100 and 120 YR, and a 300 YR post card.

These two types of stamp are available in their different values from all Yemeni post offices. Foreign stamp collectors can acquire them from the Philatelic Section, Stamps Department, Post and Postal Savings Corporation.
