The dark forces have joined with one aim: tearing up the unity of Yemen. Al-Qaeda and al-Houthi rebels have complimentary ideologies. Both of them intersect with the separatists in the south, enforcing the sectarian discourse, serving foreign agendas, and aim at destroying Yemen's stability and security.
This is a very strange mixture that only gathers with one goal, to harm not only Yemen, but also international relations.
There is a force behind these plots against Yemen; they are empowered by hatred against Arabs and Muslims. All forces in society must stand against this evil trinity. Opposition puts all the blame on the government for dead civilians and never denounces the acts that have cost Yemeni lives and fortunes.
We call upon Yemenis of all classes, political factions, intellectual and cultural orientations, to stand and show a serious position to find a drastic remedy. All citizens should put Yemen’s interest at the top of their priorities and anyone to deviate from this should be condemned and denounced by all Yemenis.
The government and the ruling party are responsible for the safety and security of Yemen, but not solely. Opposition parties are also responsible; history will never forgive them for their shameful silence, exploitation of this crisis for private and personal gains, arousing the streets and distorting the image of Yemen.
We are in the same boat. If this boat sinks, all of us will go deep with it. If Yemen’s ship drowned, it would be too late for the opposition to do anything. They have to show how much they care about Yemen. The ruling party and the opposition should put aside their differences and media strife and only think about Yemen and its stability.
