SANA’A- Three water agreements have been signed by the Local Water Corporation and the World Bank for drilling ten water wells 900 meters deep.
The wells, which cost of US$4,505,520, are 85% funded by the World Bank.
Another agreement establishes water reservoirs in the Al-Sabeen region and a pumping station at a cost of YR 644,112,835 rials.
The new projects are aimed to mitigate the worsening gap between water supply and demand.
