Hamoud al-Hitar
Judge Hamoud al-Hitar, Endowment Minister, said that he will resign if he fails in protecting the endowment lands and property against those who commit transgressions against them. He also said that he enjoys the president’s support at facing the endowment trespassers, whatever influence or authority they have.

Al- Hitar added that none are superior to the law, considering the parliament’s approval of the endowment law and the formation of the supreme endowment council as a big support for the endowment property protection.

However, he said that there were legal obstacles and that the new law approved 12 cases, which will be punishable for 7 years imprisonment against those who trespass endowment property.

Al-Hitar also said that the 2000 endowment property enumeration is now about to be finished and added that the Ministry has also completed the capital information network’s connection with the head quarters, and nine of the governorates, for instant follow up.

The Minister said that his committee stopped dialogue with the deceived ones, for political reasons, and because he dedicates his time for work at the endowment ministry, confirming that dialogue will be resumed with al-Houthi followers and those who are influenced by al-Qaeda viewpoint.

Al-Hitar pointed to the desire of some parties to stop dialogue, although he did not mention who they are,

and said that principals are set for the dialogue, which will be resumed because of the success it achieved, and which some other countries benefited form it.  He denied the failure of the dialogue, saying that, “50 percent of the Huthis we talked to were convinced, but they resorted to confrontation with the state again for other different reasons.”

Al-Hitar denied any intellectual or ideological problems with al-Huthis, assuring that their problem is a political nature.

Regarding those influenced with al-Qaeda viewpoint, he confirmed that 98 percent of those whom he spoke to were convinced and did not go back to any violent acts.
