A Yemeni Islamist slammed the Satellite Channel of al-Arabiya as a "Zionist trumpet" as he praised al-Jazeera as the "nation's faith affiliate" over the   war on Gaza covering.

The Member of Parliament and mosque speaker, Mohammed Al Hazmi said that al-Arabiya channel is "not less dangerous than Israel" on the nation warning men and women from watching it.

"What this channel, which is falsely called al-Arabiya, is doing is not less dangerous than what Israel does. So, I warn everyone from listening to this insidious trumpet and cursed Satan or devil," said Al Hazmi in statements sent to local media Saturday.

"It says that that Hamas is responsible for this war because it refuses the truce. This Zionist channel is trying to highlight the Zionist and unfaithful voice and trying to find out excuses for the Jews. It represents the alien voice in media and performs the role of the devil in covering and defrauding the facts," he added.

Al Hazmi, who belongs to the largest Islamist   opposition party, Islah, criticized al-Arabiya for the weekly show "industry of death" about terrorism and extremism.

It is showing the "industry of death" and shedding the light on what is falsely attributed to Mujahideen, he said.

What it calls what is being done now by    America and Israel? It's surely the industry of death, he said.

"I would like to very much thank al-Jazeera channel which expresses the nation's trends, goes with its options, and raises its vital  issues , we pray to Allah to reward the people in charge of it, and all  channels which belong to the nation's faith and constants," he said.
