Breaking News Exclusive - The Yemeni Security Authorities foiled a terrorist attack by al-Qaeda in Hadramout province this morning. The Security Authorities caught an al-Qaeda operative with explosives and a suicide belt, hours before his attempt to execute the suicide operation. A security source said that the captured is an al-Qaeda member, identified as al-Shawesh. By foiling this terrorist attack, the Yemeni Security Authority proved success in its on-going mission to eradicate al-Qaeda and preventing terrorist attacks.

Last December and this January, Yemeni Security Authorities launched precautionary operations against al-Qaeda in Sana’a, Abyan, Arhab, Shabwah, and Marib. The operations resulted in killing and capturing dozens of al-Qaeda members, including high-profile leaders.

More information will be posted, once the investigation is completed.
