The National Dialogue has been postponed indefinitely for the fourth time in order to complete all preparations that ensure success of the dialogue and to complete the list of governorates that contain all the political and social powers.

The Preparatory Committee of the National Dialogue Conference announced the new decision to postpone the conference, in order to complete the arrangement. They are currently waiting for the rest of the governorates to deliver the names of the participants in the dialogue.

Yaseen Ahmed al-Tamimi, Press Secretary of the President and member of the Information Committee for the Ruling Party, clarifies that the committee discovered the need to extend the period, so as the Preparatory Committee can finish its agenda and prepare the participant lists from different groups.

Dr. Ahmed al-Kibsi, a political analyst, said that the postponement would give a chance for the Opposition Party and all of the society’s powers to participate in this conference. “The delay is a normal; they need to have good preparations and end up producing an appropriate solution,” he said.

After an extensive discussion for the current situation in terms of preparation and arrangement, the Preparatory Committee decided to postpone the date agreed in advance to fully organize to ensure the success of the Dialogue and achieve its noble objectives.

It is presumed that there will be 8,000 participants, representing various configurations of national, social, cultural, economical, Parliament members, Shura Council members, Ministery Council members, Revolution patriots, and representatives of Civil Society Organizations.
