Saudi bulldozers exceeded the Yemeni border towards a village of Sa’adah province and destroyed the entire village, informed sources in Sa’adah local council told Yemen Observer.

The village, Um Quaia’ah, directorate of Shada, Sa’adah province, was ravaged by Saudi bulldozers, including mosques and electricity poles, eyewitnesses said.

Yemen Observer contacted Mohammed al-Emad, the Secretary General of Sa’adah province, and he didn’t deny the news, but would not comment on the story.

Um Quaia’ah is said to be away from the border lines between Saudi Arabia and Yemen and villagers said that their village has stood neutral during the war between Saudi forces and the al-Houthi rebels. The destroyed village is now empty of local residents except Saudi Hummers and military vehicles. The village of Um Quaia’ah is about a few kilometers from al-Malahid area that witnessed heavy fighting between the al-Houthi rebels and Saudi troops.

Saudi Arabia was drawn in the war with al-Houthis last year after al-Houthis allegedly seized Saudi border areas.

Saudi naval forces detained 20 Yemeni fishermen off of Forsan Island after they confiscated their boats, reported the Ministry of Interior.

The Saudi navy had stopped 13 Yemeni fishing boats while they were in the international waters during the past two days and took the fishing boats, along with the sailors, to the Forsan Island of Saudi Arabia, and then confiscated the contents of the boats with engines.

The fishermen said the Saudi authorities deported them from the Forsan Island to Yemen through the border, withholding fishing boats.

Yemeni fishermen have been exposed to various similar attacks by international battleships sailing the Yemeni waters in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
