Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani President of the Qatar Football Association and his accompanying delegation departed from Aden Monday August 23th after participating in the draw for the tournament.
The President of the Asian Football Mohamed Bin Hammam and his accompanying delegation also left after taking part in the draw for the tournament.
On his departure the President of the Asian Football told the media that the sports event which the world saw last Sunday was fascinating, adding that he had enjoyed the celebrations held on the occasion.
He pointed out that the draw was fair for all Gulf teams.
He said he witnessed during his visit works related to infrastructure projects of sports facilities, stadiums, and hotels. He expressed his admiration for the preparations he had seen.
The Omani delegation headed by the Secretary of Omani Football Saleh bin Abdullah Persian departed after having participated in the draw.

Al-Farisi expressed in a statement to news agencies and the media that he was happy to participate in the draw process for the twentieth session of the Arabian Gulf Cup in Yemen. He thanked the Yemeni national football Association for organizing activities and programs associated with the draw process.
Al-Farisi pointed out that Yemen is undertaking all the necessary preparations to host the tournament and this is what he said that he had sensed clearly through the confirmations of the Omani delegation’s visits to sports facilities and hotels.
Stressing that the issue of hosting the tournament has been resolved and its success is the responsibility of those preparing for the kick off of the tournament on November 22nd.
al-Farisi explained that the draw procedures have been carried out in a transparent manner in accordance with the rules of the tournament’s organization, which has been preparing for over a year.
The delegations were given a warm farewell at the Aden International Airport by Aden Governor Dr Adnan al-Jafri, the President of the Yemeni General Football Ahmed Saleh Al Isa, Aden Governorate’s Security Director, Brigadier Abdullah Qiran and a number of the Governorate’s officials.
