CID deputy manager of Marib escapes assassination attempt

The deputy manager of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Marib, Mohammed Abdo Farea, has escaped an assassination attempt, in the process he was seriously injured and was taken to one of the hospitals in the capital.  A barrage of bullets was fired at him by unknown persons at the door of his house in the city of Marib late Thursday around dusk. As of the moment he has been well taken care of in an intensive care room.
 
Security source’s reports were in line with the those of Farea’s escort team at the hospital in the capital. Farea was seriously injured and is now in critical condition. It is unknown at the moment but the severity of his injuries may lead to his death. Security sources also said that the attackers are still unknown. Recent developments indicate  that al-Qaeda had a hand in the assassination attempt after a series of assassinations were carried out against security officials in a number of governorates.
