Economic Media Center demands traders maintain reasonable prices

Economic Media Center (SEMC) expressed their concerns and worries about traders causing fluctuations and violating national currency standards during the last period. In a press release the center said that there are hidden hands behind the violations of national currency, asking people to take care and not to run behind this pricing monopoly because it will further complicate the chaotic situation of the Riyal’s value.

The Center also expected the Riyal to witness improvements during the next few days due to the increased availability of the dollar, withdraw selling and buying of dollars as well as the availability of imported product.
 
The Center called on the industrial groups, especially Hail Said Anam Group , Akhwan Thabit, Abdul-Galeel Radman and others, to reduce the prices of essential commodities like milk and its products
 
and return them to their former prices respecting the hard living conditions most Yemeni citizens are now experiencing.
 
The Center, furthermore, added that the exploitation of national industries during the emergent crises along with the raising of prices creates poor sentiment to national products and this negatively affects the national capital and national industries.

The Yemeni Riyal has witnessed improvements against dollar.  The price of  the dollar reduced to YR 213 after it spiked to YR 260 in early august.
