The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani witnessed Sunday evening the signing of the explanatory appendix of the executive program schedule for the implementation of the 22 points which were signed between the Yemeni government and the Houthi Group on 21/ 6 / 2010, under the six points, Qatar News Agency(QNA) reported.
The GCC Secretary General Abdurrahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah praised the positive results of the Qatari mediation between the Houthi group and the Yemeni government which led to the signing of the executive program for the implementation of the 22 points, signed between the Yemeni government and the Houthis on 21.6.2010. Al-Attiyah commended the efforts made by the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani to support the peace, stability and unity of Yemen, which stemmed from the favoring of dialogue as a solution to problems and conflicts, adding that the Qatari role linked between the political solution and support of reconstruction and development. Al-Attiyah said the results of the Doha meeting expressed the effectiveness of the Qatari role and the GCC’s keenness for the support of security and stability in Yemen.
The program and the explanatory appendix were signed by the Yemeni government and by Brig. They were also signed by HE Assistant Foreign Minister Saif bin Muqqadam Al Buainain of the State of Qatar as a Mediator.
