Gulf 20 Cup is best, Gulf media

The media committee of Gulf countries, Yemen and Iraq participating in the tournament of Gulf Cup 20 sent a letter in which they thank H.E. President Ali Abdullah Saleh of what he presents of great concern and attention to the tournament.

The letter included the meeting of Media Committee led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, , Head of the media committee of the Championship, Ahmed Nasser al-Hamati, in which it confirmed the successful of this tournament.

“This tournament is one of the most successful tournaments on the Gulf at every level which in addition won both the unprecedented public and media attention,” the letter said.

Members of Media Committee highly valued efforts of His Excellency the President and his patronage of the participants, pointing out to what characterized this tournament facilities for all journalists from various countries, and good preparation and organization and hospitality.

The Committee at its meeting, which included the heads of media delegations from the eight States, praised what the Media Committee in Yemen offered the media of equipment and sophisticated information and advanced technology.

 It stressed that the media coverage of this tournament was wider coverage of the previous tournaments.

In this regard, Yemeni Passports Authority forecasted that approximately 5.000 spectators from Gulf countries will attend the final of this tournament.

The official website of 20th Gulf Cup announced that Passports Authority counted the number of spectators as they enter Yemen through borders, from Hajja and al-Mahra provinces, on last Thursday which reached 2942 people.
