Thousands of protesters demonstrated in Sana’a change square and in all other Yemeni cities on Thursday protesting and condemning the assassination attempt that targeted Dr. Yassin Said Noaman, secretary general of the Yemeni Socialist Party and Advisor to President Hadi.

Dr. Naoman escaped the assassination attempt when soldiers at a check point affiliated to the First Armored Brigade fired machine gun at his car near CAC bank in downtown in Sana’a on Monday.
The protesters demanded to uncover the perpetrators of the assassination attempt and to subject them to justice.
Meanwhile al-Ola newspaper published a list of the soldiers and officers suspected to be involved in the attack and said that the minister of interior instructed to arrest and discipline them.
The paper said that the attackers were military personnel from the 18th battalion of the First Armored Brigade.
It added that commander of the battalion, Colonel Ahmad Doaid, and the battalion’s Staff General, Colonel Yahya al-Ojail, was involved in the incident, adding that a soldier from the battalion called al-Jaifi was the one that fired at the vehicle.
The First Armor Brigade is commanded by defected general Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
The Socialist party and the Islah party have condemned the assassination attempt and demanded the ministry of interior to uncover the perpetrators of the assassination attempt and refer them and the people that are backing them to justice.
