Over Seven Thousands members of the General People Congress party (GPC) including 1000 female members are to take part in the festival of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the GPC to be held on Monday.

Fatma al-Khatary member of the General Committee of the GPC said that the party’s female members are to contribute effectively in the festival, adding that over 1000 female leading members are to take part in the festival in addition to their presence in the different committees that are organizing and coordinating for the celebration in the 30th anniversary of the GPC.

“What distinguishes this festivity is that it coincided with the first memorial of martyr AbdulAziz Abdul Ghani, member of the General Committee former Spokes Person of the Senate a matter that embodies the GPC fulfillment to its sincere leadership and within this frame a number of the GPC leaderships that had distinctive contribution in the process of the GPC are to be honored,” said al-Khatary.

The conference is to be chaired by former president of the republic, president of the GPC,  Ali Abdullah Saleh and expected to be attended by President of the Republic Abdu Raboo Mansour Hadi. However some sources expected Hadi would not attend the celebrations due to the sensitivity of the current political situations. The sources think that President Hadi was elected by all political parties as president of the republic and therefore should not be a president of any political party.
