Leader of Yemen’s SP criticizes treatment of suspected assassin

The Secretary-General of the Yemeni Socialist Party, Dr. Yassin Saeed Noman, criticized the position of the government in the investigation of his assassination attempt that occurred recently in one of the streets of the capital Sana’a.

“The official position was mainly negative and the investigation is not understandable yet,” said Noman during an interview broadcasted on Al-Arabiya channel in the program of “Exclusive Interview”.

Noman said nothing indicates that there is a serious investigation in this process, expressing his hope for a real investigation announcing the truth to the public.

 “It is wrong that those who are considered suspects remains in jail for such a long period, either there is a serious investigation or they should release them,”

he added “There are forces that have no interest in the process of change,” he said about his attackers who were behind assassinations attempts of a number of the Socialist Party leaders.

 “Those forces want to return the country to the square of violence again.”
