Security sources have revealed that the explosion at Mr Garman’s household had been caused by a dispute between Garmen’s armed guards and rival gunmen.

An exchange of gunfire accidentally hit a neighboring cellar housing an armoury, setting the four-story building ablaze.

Investigation teams had been prevented access to the premises by Garman’s armed guards who are currently under seige by security forces.

Four members of the Garman family and a guard had been taken on Friday to a neighboring hospital for treatment after the explosion.

It had been reported that the injured included his wife and two sons Ali Garman Muhammed Garman, 36, and 15-year old Osama.

Hospital medics had reported that the guard, Zaidan Ali Farea, was in a critical condition. Twelve neighbors were also injured in the blast. It is not known if Mr Garman, originally from Sa’ada, is at home.
