Ali Dhaifallah Mohawish, a suspect sentenced to death.
The Specialized Penal Court, presided over by Judge Muhsin Alwan, sentenced four of al-Huthi followers to death.
Ali Dhaifallah Mohawish was the only arrested and the remaining three Mahadi Dhaifallah Mohawish, Hamdi Ali Misha’th and Selman Ahmed Hassan were sentenced to death in their absence by a default judgement. They were convicted for following Abdulmalik al-Huthi’s directions; they shot at the army at Bani Fadhl market in Sa’ada which resulted in the deaths of Major Ahmed Abdullah Fadhl, Ali Dhaifallah Ali, and the injuries of Mohammed Aidhah Jarman and Dhaifallah Jazie.
The judgment’s statement said that, according to the first convict’s confessions, the four convicts shot at the victims’ car under the excuse that they were government troops.
Witnesses Ahmed Abdullah Shamsan and Abdulla Mohammed Abdullah also confirmed the accusations.
Following the ruling, the first convict shouted out the al-Huthi slogans, “God is great! Death to America! Death to Israel! Curse be upon the Jews!”
