Demonstrations continue across Yemen’s govenorates where many youths are calling on Egypt and other Arabian countries to open the borders for Jihad.
Demonstrations in Yemen continue and religious preachers in most of Yemen’s mosques pray for the victory of resistance in Gaza
The vice Minister of Interior Saleh Hussein al-Zo’ri ensured that investigations were continuing with those persons caught breaking into the Egyptian consulate in Aden, and confirmed that the instigators and those involved would be referred to the judiciary for punishment.
Meanwhile, demonstrations continue across Yemen denouncing the Israeli attrocities in Gaza and the death toll currently standing at 400 with 2,000 injured on writing of this article. Sources at the summit of Arab Foreign Ministers did not specify any date for an Arabian Summit.
In the majority of mosques in Yemen, relgious scholars and preachers prayed for te victory of resistance of Gaza.
Al-Zo’ri, said that the attacks against the consulate were carried out by subversive elements who wanted to damage Yemen’s reputation. He said such actions only sought to affirm the Zionists purpose which aims to split Arab unity.
The Vice Interior Minister warned of any such actions which could violate the the country’s laws, confirming that the security authorities will not let irresponsible elements hurt Yemen’s relations with their brothers and friends.
According to a reliable and official source in the Interior Ministry the government expressed regret over the attack against the Egyptian consulate in Aden. The source said that a number of persons were arrested including a number of Arab students, who are now being investigated, while other elements are still being followed for their deplorable actions.
In response to the attack on the consular Prime Minister Ali Mujawar called his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Nazif Tuesday, during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to developments in the Palestinian territories in light of the cruel and barbaric Israeli attack on Gaza.
During the call, Mujawar expressed his deep regret regarding attempts on Tuesday by some citizens in Aden governorate to break into the Egyptian Consulate in Aden in the wake of demonstrations against Israeli attacks on Gaza, and affirmed security officials had arrested a number of the rioters, and are still seeking others.
For his part, al-Nazif expressed his appreciation and comfort at the actions taken by the Yemeni government to deal with this incident.
In a related issue the security Committee in Aden, presided over by Dr. Adnan al-Jafri, Aden governor, discussed the security plan for securing the governorate in the upcoming period. The committee also discussed the recent behavior of Arab and Yemeni students who wanted to sever Yemen relations with their brothers. The committee discussed the incident’s motivations, the necessary steps to be taken and how to prevent its reoccurrence, members also approved a continuation of the investigation into those involved in the riots and agreed to refer them to the judiciary to face accountability pursuant to the law.
In other news a judiciary source expected the trial of Israeli espionage cell to commence at the beginning of next week. The source went on to say that the prosecution will be handing over the six suspects’ files to the penal court within the upcoming two days.
The source said that three of the suspects (Basam al-Haidri, Emad al-Raimi and Ali Mahfal,) will be convicted because they have been charged according to evidence, however the prosecution has given the other three the benefit of doubt. The source said that the investigations revealed that seized items, which included a computer, had show correspondents between the cell's deputy leader and Israeli intelligence in Israel, asking them to carry out terrorist attacks.
In another security development, the security authorities referred four suspects to the penal prosecution for smuggling 3000 narcotic pills, together with other seized items.
Security sources confirmed they caught Jabber Naji Ali al-Matag, Ahmed Mohammed Jahlan, Ali Yahia Hashim al-Hamzi, and Abdo Rabo Ahmed Abo Asha the fourth suspect managed to escape.
