Al-Rahma Foundation for Human Development expands its centers for care and harboring orphans to five cares centers in several governorates. “The foundation expanded its activities to include males and females in other provinces in addition to provide with a service of training in care services,” said Ruqayah al-Hajri, Chairman of the Foundation.

The new centers are Dar al-Rahma (House of Mercy), the Knights for boys and Hind House, Sinan House for children and al-Wafa House, in addition to two training centers in Dar Salm and Haifan.

The Minister of Information, Hassan al-Lawzi expressed its readiness to harness audio-visual media to highlight the activities of charities and to remind good men of their duties towards this important sector.

Al-Lawzi was particularly impressed by the activities carried out by Al-Rahma Foundation towards orphans, particularly orphan girls in Yemen.

"I am encouraged by what I saw and I am positive about the charitable work, which represents a creative force within our society and not just breeding, protection and immunity," al-Lawzi said during his visit to the foundation on Wednesday, August 13, 2008.

In commenting on the visit of the Minister of Information to the Foundation, al-Hajri said that the visit will activate the role of the media in relation to humanitarian and developmental issues, also reminding the society about their duties towards them.
