The Muslim and Christian scholars signed on an agreement to respect each other’s religions and other religions as well as to respect religious symbols and founders of religions, said the Yemeni religious scholar Ali Zain al-Aabideen al-Jifri.
In his lecture to the youth participating in the forum of dialogue among cultures and civilizations held in Yemen al-Jifri said that according to this accord around 94 percent of the Protestants and Anglicans have committed to not defame the Prophet Mohammed peace beupon him.
He said this was a result of constructive dialogue among religious scholars and clergies not through demonstrations or assaulting embassies or killing innocent people.
Ali Zain al-Aabideen al-Jifri said that the worlds’ problems could not be resolved through war, extremism or explosions, but through constructive dialogue.
The Muslims managed through dialogue to convince the Christian clerics to make 300 million Christians to abide by not being offensive to religions and to apologize for the crusade wars. They also apologized for the present wars, launched in the name of the Christ. They said that they ask God forgiveness and asked the Muslims to have patience. This came in al-Jaffrey’s lecture which was submitted to over 500 youth from 32 countries hosted by Yemen.
Al-Jifri said that the Muslim clerics directed a message to the Christian leaders saying that they form together the majority of the earth population asserting that if they don’t peacefully co- exist there would be no world peace.
There was a response from 300 referential Protestants and Anglicans, who form the largest protestant community in the world. They published an essay in New York Times accepting the Muslims’ initiative and apologize for the wars and the present so called war on terror.
“We called for a joint conference in one of the American universities and a statement is issued from the two sides obliging the two parties not to offend each others rituals, and the founders of their religions. The resolution is abiding to more than 94 percent of the world Protestants, mounting to 300 million Protestants and Anglicans. We were not complementing each other when we took these decisions and we were true in displaying each other’s differences,” said al-Jifri.
“They denounced Islamic, Christian and Jewish extremism, ensuring that religious extremism is a curse to humanity, because religion is the hope for saving humanity, calling the youth to avoid extremism and bigotry,” Jafry concluded.
Al-Jifri added that Muslims should avoid those who call for north and south in Yemen, Shiite and Sunni in Iraq, because they are sedition instigators. He added that those who expatiate people and call for violence should not attend his lecture, and he sends them a message calling for peace.
He said that investigations disclosed that those who were caught in Tarim explosions intended to blow up Dar al-Mustafa for Islamic studies in addition to other facilities.
