ADEN, Aug. 23 (Saba) - 20 health workers operating in the field of child care will be trained in providing consultations for infant and child health.
The course is being organized by the Nutrition Program in the Ministry of Health in coordination with the World Health Organization. Participants will receive a number of oral and practical skills on the importance of breast feeding, listening and education skills, taking care of premature babies and education on complete nutrition.
Opening the week long course on Saturday, Director of Aden Health Office al-Khader Lasour and Director of the Nutrition Program, Awadh Haidra, stressed the importance of breast feeding for better growth and protection against many diseases, noting that the country is working on realizing the highest ratio of mother and child health.
