The Ministry of Culture represented by the manuscript sector will organize from October 11th – 19th the first exhibition of rare Yemeni manuscripts at the Culture House in Sana’a.
The exhibition comes within the ministry aimed at preserving manuscripts in the country. The exhibition is coinciding with the celebrations of Yemen's national holidays of September 26th, October 14th and November 30th.
Sheikh Sam al-Ahmer, Deputy Minister of Culture for the manuscripts sector said more than 100 images of rare manuscripts and vellum manuscripts from the House of Manuscripts library in Sana'a and the Ahqaf Library in Tarim, Hadromout would be displayed at the exhibition.
Al-Ahmer said the exhibition would be a fundamental step toward future exhibitions that will include manuscripts from other libraries in the country.
