Yemen and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on Wednesday reviewed current measures of cooperation between the two bodies.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi discussed with the Regional Representative for Arab States from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Amat Al-Alim Alsoswa, details concerning efforts to rebuild flood-affected areas in the eastern governorates of Hadramout and Mahrah, as well as the UN contributions to these efforts.

The meeting dealt with the mid-term review of the third five-year plan, and the updated reform agenda the government intends to apply in the coming two years. In addition, they will discuss procedures taken by the government to counter the impact of the global financial crisis.

Al-Arhabi hailed the significant role played by Ms. Alsoswa in enhancing cooperation between Yemen and the UNDP.
