Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has arrived in Yemen to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Al-saleh Mosque. The ceremony will take place next Friday.
Ihsanoglu said that on the visit he will meet with a number of Yemeni officials to discuss the latest regional developments, particularly the piracy-related issues and effective measures to fight it as well as other Islamic and international issues.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, deputy Secretary General of the International Union for Muslim Scholars Ali Takhiri and Assistant Deputy of the mosque affairs division at the Kuwaiti Endowment Ministry Waleed al-Shuaib also arrived in the country to take part in the ceremony.
