The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) agreed on Saturday to contribute $42 million to finance three development projects in Yemen.

After a discussion session, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation signed with the IDB an agreement stipulating the Bank’s contribution to financing the second phase of agricultural development in Abyan governorate, the establishment of silos at the port of Salif in Hodeidah governorate, and projects aimed at reducing illiteracy.

In addition, the Ministry of Planning signed a memorandum of understanding for contributions by the British government and the IDB to finance a water supply and sanitation project in Hotah city of Lahj governorate.
