Preparations for the first round of the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Joint Ministerial Committee due to be held here next Wednesday are currently underway.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Arab, African and Asian Affairs Ali al-Ayashi told Saba that the round, to be co-chaired by Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Mohammad Assabah, will discuss a number of key issues in bilateral relations between the two countries. In addition to signing a treaty establishing the joint ministerial committee, another treaty for political coordination between the two countries’ foreign ministries will be signed. “A number of treaties and protocols in fields of health, technical education and vocational training and trade will be singed as well,” said al-Ayashi who expected the arrival of Kuwaiti delegation in Aden today for preparations for the first round of the ministerial committee.
